With the discovery of precious minerals, the human colonists soon covered Baumar in mines and quarries. It was not long before the first quakes started, as the planet's natural balance had been radically altered. With time, the Baumarians learned to live in harmony with the natural environment, with much of it given back to the giant trees that had once covered it.
But the arrival of the Mantis pushed Baumar into its darkest period, one of black smoke and fire, as the Mantis bunt it to a cinder to make Cryonite harvesting more efficient.
